With the launch of our updated Concierge visuals, there are some tasks that you will need to do in order to be ready for it. Here is an explanation of what needs to be done.


👉 Update your smaller offer images

The way we are displaying offer images is changing. When you open an offer, we now display a large image:

In some cases, smaller images have been used. In the new design, these images will look blurry and need to be replaced.

The new minimum image size we now recommend is 800px.

Action required:

You will need to examine the images used in your offers and room upgrades to see if they will need to be replaced.

To do this, open the offer/upgrade, and right click on the image, and select Open image in new tab (the text will vary slightly by browser):

You will then see just the image at 100% size:

If the image only looks slightly bigger than it appeared on the Edit page, then you should replace it with a new one.

If the image you used came from your marketing assets, then it's likely you will have a larger version to replace it with.

If you sourced the image from somewhere else, you might have a little more work to do (for example if you just took it from a Google image search!).

If you created your own custom image with graphics and/or text, you will need to make a new version of your image. If you need help with this, please reach out to Andrew and he will help you create custom images for your offers 🙂

👉 Consider revamping your offer descriptions

Offers can now be "flipped", which previews the first part of your offer description.

You might want to adjust your offer description to suit this new change.

👉 Change your Welcome message

We have changed the purpose of the welcome message in the Concierge.

As a result of this change, you will need to add a new welcome message.

What's changed?

The welcome message is now much shorter. We understand that some of you may currently have lots of text in your welcome message, but now you will need to change it; go to Upsell > Welcome text to do so.

Why did we change the purpose?

We have been doing lots of A/B testing and also logging guest actions on the Concierge page. And simply, hardly any guests click the "Read more" link to see your entire message.

Also, if a guest clicked "Read more" on their mobile device, and you had a large amount of text, it was a very bad experience! So now, the welcome message will look great on mobile devices.

What is the new purpose of the welcome message?

Your welcome message is now has a character limit. So, it's best to just put one or two short, direct sentences there that support the "Dear guest" title.

For example, "Welcome to our Concierge. Take a look at our great offers that will further enhance your stay!".

What if you don't update your current message?

If you leave your welcome text as-is, it will simply get cut off after the maximum characters limit is reached, which will look bad - so please update it! 🙂

👉 Check your Directions and Additional Services

We've changed how these are displayed, so it's a good opportunity to make sure that your directions and services are up to date. We also know that some of you are missing some of them! 😮

👉 Additional information

Remember that the new design will be available from Monday March 15.

Emails sent to guests from that date forward will send guests to the new Concierge.

Any emails sent before this date will send your guests to the old Concierge.
