What is an Announcement? 📣 

An Announcement is a one-time email which you send to a selected group of guests.

How do Announcements work? 🤔 

Creating an Announcement is quite simple.

Step 1

Navigate to Emails > Announcements

Step 2

Click the green Create button in the top right corner

Step 3

Customise the content of your email as you usually would. Don't forget to add the content for each language active in your system!

Please ensure you give the email a descriptive name!

Step 4

Go to the Guests tab:

This is where you will choose the guests to receive your email.

You can choose guests by:

  • Date range based on of arrival
  • Date range based on date of departure
  • All guests at your property on a certain date or date range
  • Reservation status (confirmed, cancelled, or both)

As you change your selection, you will notice that the list of guests will also change.

Once you are happy with your selection, and you are ready to send your email, click the green Send button.

You will be asked to confirm that you're ready to send the email before it is actually sent.


Seeing the results

Once you have sent your email, give it a little time for everything to process. This is because emails are not sent out instantaneously - rather, they are processed in chunks. So if you send, say, 2000 emails, it might take a few minutes for all of them to be sent.

After the emails have been sent, you can go back to your announcement and see the stats.

If you go back to the Announcements page, your announcement will be listed in the Sent list:

Click the View results button to check the stats:

Here you can see how many emails were sent, how many were opened, and "Cancelled" represents the number of emails that failed (eg. address does not exist, inbox full, etc.) or guests who unsubscribed.

You can also click the Export button to get a spreadsheet containing all the recipients, the email delivery time, and whether they opened the email yet.
